Enhancing youth participation in elections and political parties

The National Center for Culture and Arts produced and executed the interactive theatrical performance "Your Voice Makes a Difference" with the support of the Jordanian National Commission for Women and in collaboration with the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs. The play aims to encourage young men and women to use their electoral voice to create real change in their society. The performance was showcased at Jordanian universities, where the audience interacted significantly with the performance and its message, fostering hope for greater youth participation in future elections.

Objectives of the Interactive Play "Your Voice Makes a Difference":

  1. Encouraging Electoral Participation: Motivating young men and women to actively participate in elections and use their voices to create positive change in society.
  2. Enhancing Political Awareness: Increasing youth awareness of important political and social issues, encouraging them to engage in public discussions, and make informed decisions.
  3. Fostering Community Dialogue: Creating a platform for interaction and discussion between youth and the audience on societal and political challenges, and seeking common solutions.
  4. Empowering Youth: Supporting young people to become influential voices in the community, capable of impacting decisions and policies that affect their lives and future.

The interactive play contributed to influencing youth and society by enhancing political awareness and empowering young people to become active voices in their community. Through this play, young people gained a deeper understanding of the importance of electoral participation and how their voices can be an effective tool for change. The discussions that followed the performances helped in fostering community dialogue, strengthening the bonds between youth and local community institutions, and encouraging them to engage more effectively in political and social life. Through this project, the role of youth as potential leaders capable of influencing decisions that shape their future and the future of their community was reinforced.
