Opening Of The Jerash Festival Of Culture And Arts

The National Center for Culture and Arts at the King Hussein Foundation produced the opening ceremony of the 37 th Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts.

The ceremony was distinguished by presenting a variety of cultural and artistic events that reflect the rich heritage of the city of Jerash and its ancient history.

The ceremony included traditional folklore performances and special songs for the occasion, in addition to a distinguished show that sheds light on the history of Jerash and the succession of civilizations that lived on its land. Titled “River of Gold,” it evokes the history of the city of Jerash and highlights its civilizational and cultural role as a cradle of arts and humanity.

“River of Gold” was presented with elaborate artistic direction, where music and singing performance were mixed with visual theatrical performances in a way that combines different arts to deliver a profound message about Jerash’s heritage and cultural heritage. This event aims to enhance awareness of the cultural heritage of the city of Jerash and enhance its role as a leading cultural and tourism destination in the region. It also contributes to enhancing cultural exchange and enhancing mutual understanding between different cultures.
